Bedford National Guard Armory Reunion Slated For Oct. 4

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford National Guard Armory will host its third reunion of all units ever based at the facility.

The 13th annual reunion is slated for October 4, beginning at noon with the meal to follow at 12:30 p.m.

The event is for all National Guard members from all units that have been assigned to the Bedford National Guard Armory, at 2020 19th St., over the years.

Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish along with $5 per person, which will help with the cost of hog roast and beverages that will be provided. Children under the age of 10 will eat free. Reservations are due Friday

Attendees are asked to register between 11 and 11:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at Noon.

Organizer Ron Knight says about 80 people attended last year's event.

Units invited to the reunion are Headquarters Co. of the 138th Tank Battalion, Co. A of the 138th Tank Battalion, Co. D of the 738th Maintenance Battalion, the 1213th Dump Truck Company, the 3658th Maintenance Company, HHC 76th Brigade, Co. C of the 738th Maintenance Battalion and the 2219th Brigade Combat Support Company, which will be changing to a maintenance company on Oct. 1 of this year.
