(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after he was found drinking and with a stolen alcoholic beverage alcohol from Walmart.
Bedford police were called to Walmart after store security saw 18-year-old Isaiah Brown put a large bottle of an alcoholic beverage into his backpack and then leave the store.
When police arrived at the store they could not find Brown, but were given a description.
At 12:47 a.m. Wednesday, officers located a man that matched the description in the area of 16th Street and Windwood Drive. That man was Brown.
Police stopped Brown and while talking to him determined he had been drinking. He was given a breathalyzer.
Inside Brown's backpack police found the stolen alcoholic beverage.
Brown was arrested on charges of illegal consumption, possession of an alcoholic beverage and theft.
