(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after an accident on Tunnelton Road late Wednesday afternoon.

According to a Bedford Police report, 21-year-old Christopher Weilbaker of Bedford was traveling south on Tunnelton Road approaching Brookside Drive when his 2002 Dodge Neon slid sideways and spun 360 degrees before striking a utility pole. The vehicle then overturned and landed on its top.

Weilbaker suffered cuts to his right hand and was treated and released at IU Health Hospital. Upon his release he was arrested on charges of driving while his driver's license was suspended with prior convictions, DWS causing bodily injury, driving while on expired driver's license and cited for no financial responsibility.
