(BEDFORD) - A Mitchell man was injured Wednesday afternoon after his vehicle struck a tree.
According to a Bedford Police report, 44-year-old Kevin Austin was traveling south on I Street when his 1999 Chevrolet S-10 left the roadway went into the tree plate and onto the sidewalk and traveled approximately 200 feet before striking a tree.
Police says Austin, who suffered a head injury, had a reduced level of consciousness and was transported from the scene by an IU Health Hospital ambulance to Bloomington Hospital.
