Last updated on Wednesday, September 23, 2015

(BLOOMINGTON) - A former Bloomington tutor pleaded guilty to one charge of child molesting after a student told authorities he inappropriately touched her at the former Pinnacle School in October 2012.

The sentencing for 21-year-old Benjamin S.Haile, is scheduled for 11 a.m. on November 10 in Monroe Circuit Court.

Haile was arrested on two felony charges of child molesting in November 2012 after a seven year old said he touched her inappropriately at school.

The female student told police that while watching a movie at school in October 2012, Haile fondled her as she sat on his lap during the movie. The girl told police Haile allegedly put his hands into her pants and down her shirt. The girl also told police that he had taken her hands and forced her to rub his 'boy part.'

The alleged incident happened at Pinnacle School in Bloomington. The school is a small non-profit for kids with dyslexia, ADD, and ADHD.

19-year-old Haile worked part-time at the school as a tutor and small-group instructor.

He was questioned after the incident and at first denied he had touched the girl inappropriately, but then told police it was an accident. Haile was arrested and charged with two counts of child molestation.

After Pinnacle School administrators learned about the allegations they placed Haile on administrative leave and then fired him.
