(BEDFORD) - Two former Arby’s employees were arrested on theft charges after Bedford Police say the stole from the local restaurant.

Police arrested 22-year-old Ada Baldwin of Seymour and 22-year-old Anitra Bohlman of Bedford after warrants were issued for their arrest. They were both taken into custody on Friday.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers were alerted to the possible thefts after the restaurant discovered an unusual amount of refunds and drive-offs at the drive-thru.

"The incidents were discovered in December 2014," Parsley says. "After an internal audit, the fraudulent transactions were discovered. After our investigation we discovered the thefts."

Parsley says both employees were fired.

"After our investigation information was forwarded to the Lawrence County Prosecutor's office on December 24, 2014 and warrants were issued for the women's arrest last week," Parsley says.
