Two People Arrested In Loogootee On Drug Charges

(LOOGOOTEE) - Two people were arrested in Loogootee late Friday and are now facing drug charges.

According to Loogootee Police, officers stopped a vehicle around 11:20 p.m. when an officer noticed the vehicle make a turn without signaling and then driver left of the center line on U.S. 50.

The officer stopped the vehicle and K-9 Roxy alerted police of possible drugs in the vehicle.

After searching the vehicle officers found several baggies of both meth and marijuana along with drug paraphernalia.

Police arrested 40-year-old James G. Sisco II of Loogootee, and the driver, 42-year-old Darbi K. Grannon of Washington. Both are charged with possession of marijuana, dealing and possession of meth, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The stop also led officers to get a search warrant for Sisco's home in eastern Daviess County. Loogootee Police were assisted by Indiana State Police and the Daviess County Sheriff's Department in the search that turned up some additional drugs.
