(UNDATED) - A new tool from Indiana State Police is laying out the facts you need to know about the home you’re looking to buy or the ones around you.
Indiana State Police have launched an Interactive Methamphetamine Lab Locations Map. In just a matter of clicks, you will be able to find out if a home was previously tagged as a meth lab or dump site.
ISP Sgt. Joe Watts says the map grants access to the entire state of Indiana. You can sort through different counties and cities, and even type in a specific address.
Users can view information including when the meth site was discovered, what chemicals were found, when it was cleaned, who it was cleaned by, as well as access to the incident report filed by state troopers.
Officials emphasize that it is important for potential buyers to know everything possible about a home before making their decision due to the number of health issues related to the making of meth and the chemicals left behind.
