Monroe County Officials Taking Business To Court After Owners Failed To Obtain Appropriate Zoning

Last updated on Tuesday, August 11, 2015

(BLOOMINGTON) - Monroe County city officials are taking the owners of a special events venue to court to force them to cease operation after they failed to obtain appropriate zoning for the business.

The Herald Times reports the county filed a complaint on July 27 against Cindi Lewis and the Stables Events LLC, located on Gore Road, accusing them of violating local ordinances by conducting a commercial business on a property zoned for agricultural uses.

Both parties are scheduled for a preliminary injunction hearing at 1:30 p.m. August 24 to resolve the matter in Monroe County Circuit Court.
