(SPRINGVILLE) - A Homer man was injured after his vehicle was rear-ended on Ind. 54 West Saturday afternoon.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, 56-year-old David Miller of Homer was traveling eastbound on Ind. 54 West and stopped to turn into a driveway to turn around after he missed his turn. As Miller was stopped, his 2013 Chevrolet Impala was struck in the rear by a 2009 Nissan Rogue driven by 29-year-old Gregory Fitch of Solsberry.

Fitch told police he was looking for a home for sale on State Road 54 West and didn't see Miller's vehicle stopped.

Miller told police he could not remember what happened because he may have blacked out on impact. He told police he was okay but his neck hurt. A short time later, Miller passed out and fell to the ground. He was taken by ambulance to IU Health Hospital for treatment.
