(UNDATED) - Army Sgt. 1st Class Krista L. Smith is participating in the U.S. Army’s Spirit of America, one of the Army’s largest community outreach programs.
Spirit of America 2015 is scheduled for September 10-12, at the D.C. Armory in Washington, D.C. and Sept. 18-19, at the EagleBank Arena, in Fairfax, Va.
She is currently serving as a Senior Musician with the U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own," Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, Va.
Smith is the daughter of Gordon D. and Elaine W. Moebius of Plainfield, Ind.
She is a 1992 graduate of Pike High School, Indianapolis, Ind. She earned an bachelor's degree in 1996 from Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind.
