INDOT Announces Lane Restrictions On U.S. 50 Bridge Spanning Boggs Creek

Last updated on Friday, August 7, 2015

(LOOGOOTEE) - The Indiana Department of Transportation says motorists will need to be on the lookout for lane restrictions starting next week on the U.S. 50 Bridge spanning Boggs Creek east of Loogootee.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, INDOT will close the west bound lane of the bridge for pavement rehabilitation.

While the westbound lane is closed, the eastbound lane will be open and a temporary signal will direct traffic.

Once work is completed on the westbound lane, traffic will switch over while crews work on the east bound lane.

During the restrictions, loads over 11-feet wide will not be allowed.

A barrier wall will be used to separate traffic from the construction zone.

The project is scheduled to continue through early December.
