(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Freetown Indiana woman involved in a traffic crash on I-65 Saturday evening died from injuries she sustained in the accident.
Saturday around 5 p.m., Indiana State Troopers were called to the accident on I-65 northbound just south of the County Line Road exit involving a passenger car and semi-tractor trailer.
According to police, 75-year-old Savoy White of Noblesville was operating a 1994 Chrysler northbound on I-65 in the right lane approaching the County Line Road exit. White attempted to move left from the right lane County Line Road exit lane to continue northbound on I-65 and struck the end of the traffic safety attenuator. The vehicle then spun into northbound traffic and struck a semi-traffic trailer operated by William Dawdy and came to rest after striking the inside concrete barrier wall.
White and her front seat passenger, 78-year-old Patsie Linville of Freetown, were transported to Eskenazi Hospital for treatment of their injuries. Dawdy was not injured during the incident.
State Police were informed late Saturday night by the hospital that Linville had passed away.
