(LINTON) - The Dairy Queen in Linton closed its doors for the last time on Monday.

For many years, Dairy Queen has been a staple of the Linton community, located on the west side of Linton.

For the last 25 years, Jerry McKim explained his wife Georgialee had owned Dairy Queen, but after a fight with cancer, she passed away last year. Since then Jerry McKim has helped to operate the store.

Jerry McKim wished to thank all of the customers who supported Dairy Queen in Linton over the years.

"It was good experience owning Dairy Queen, and we are grateful for all of those who supported us over the years," Jerry McKim said.
