Boil Order Issued For Some South Lawrence Utility Customers

(MITCHELL) - South Lawrence Utilities has issued a boil order for residents on Clark Smith Road.

Residents in the area had no water or low pressure after a 12-inch water main break.

The boil order is until further notice.

Those under boil orders are advised to bring all water to a boil, let it boil vigorously for two minutes, then let the water cool before using.

Bottled water also can be used. Boiled or bottled water is recommended for drinking, brushing teeth, washing dishes and making infant formula, all food preparation and consumption, and making or using ice.
