(UNDATED) - For a working person, the golden years of retirement can be both easy and difficult to imagine.
Retirement presents a chance for many Americans to meet new people and create new experiences and according to a new study Bedford is among the best places to do it in Indiana. The study, by SmartAsset, a financial technology company, ranked the cities with the most recreational and social opportunities for retirees. SmartAsset's index factors in the number of recreation centers and retirement centers available to seniors as well as tax-friendliness and medical care.
Bedford ranked fifth in their study. Ranking number one was Monticello, followed by Lawrenceburg, Portland and then Scottsburg at number 4. Rounding out the top 10 were Bluffton, Batesville, Greensburg, Crawfordsville followed by North Manchester at number 10.
