Last updated on Friday, August 28, 2015

(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was injured after a vehicle pulled into the path of his scooter Thursday afternoon at JayC Plaza.

According to a Bedford Police report, 67-year-old Marilyn Goodman of Bedford told police she was turning left into JayC Plaza behind Jackson County Bank when a man driving a Future Champion scooter ran into her.

But 22-year-old Depalma Mason of Bedford told police he was going straight in the parking lot when Goodman pulled her Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS in front of his scooter. Mason told police he couldn't get stopped in time to avoid a collision.

A witness, Rex Fender of Heltonville, told police that the driver of the Monte Carlo had pulled into the path of the scooter.

Goodman was not injured during the incident, but Mason suffered knee and foot pain.
