(BLOOMFIELD) - The Bloomfield Chapter Order of the Eastern Star is again hosting the Bloomfield Apple Festival Little Miss, Little Mister contest.
All Greene County children age six and under are invited to participate in the contest that will be judged on September 26 in the Bloomfield Town Park South Shelter house at 4 p.m. The winners will be announced later that day.
All contestants are asked to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the event for check in.
Judging will be done by out of county judges prior to the festival so the Little Miss and Little Mister can reign over the Apple Festival for the entire weekend.
Age groups are newborn through 12 months, 13 months through 23 months, 2 years through 3 years, and 4 years through 6 years.
Each child will receive a bag full of prizes and the winners will receive additional prizes.
The winning boy and winning girl from the 4 years through 6 years category will also win the right to preside over the festival that weekend and will ride in the Bloomfield Apple Festival Parade; however, parents must provide transportation in the parade.
Winners of all categories can provide their own transportation and participate in the parade if they choose.
Applications are available online at www.bloomfieldapplefest.com and must be printed, filled out, and mailed along with a $15 registration fee by September 23.
They can be mailed to Rhea Gadberry at 728 Sunset Drive, Bloomfield, IN 47424.
If printer access is not available, send the following information on a blank sheet of paper along with the registration fee to the previously stated address: Parents' name, child's name, male or female, age, date of birth, address, and telephone number.
All checks should be made payable to the Bloomfield Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star.
