(BEDFORD) - A Bedford man was arrested after a Community Corrections officer requested a welfare check on a Williams woman.
When the Lawrence County office arrived at 9:43 a.m. at the home in the 80 block of North Street, they found the woman "very upset and crying."
According to Sheriff Mike Branham the woman told police that she and 48-year-old Charles Neff had been in an argument and Neff had pushed and shoved her.
The incident happened in front of three children, ages 4, 7 and 16.
Neff was arrested on a charge of domestic battery in the presents of a minor.
