Up-Close Look At Raptors And Reptiles At McCormick's Creek Saturday

Last updated on Friday, July 31, 2015

(MCCORMICK’S CREEK) - Visitors to McCormick’s Creek State Park on Saturday can get an up-close look at raptors and reptiles during the 15th annual Wild about Wildlife event.

The event is a partnership with WildCare Inc., a licensed wildlife rehabilitation group based in Bloomington. Wild Care Inc. representatives and park naturalists will introduce visitors to animals that cannot be returned to the wild due to injuries. These animals serve as ambassadors for wildlife during educational programs.

Programs will be at 11 a.m. and at 1, 2, 3 and 4 p.m. at the nature center. Specific animals to be featured will be determined just before the start of the programs.

All programs are free after paying the standard park admission of $7 for in-state vehicles and $9 for out-of-state vehicles.
