Two Arrested On Warrants After Troopers Receive Tip

Last updated on Wednesday, July 15, 2015

(UNIONVILLE) - Indiana State Police arrested two people after they received a tip about their locations.

Just after 4 p.m. Tuesday, troopers located 25-year-old Jessica McLane, of Unionville at a home on Anderson Road.

The tip lead troopers believe she was in the company of her boyfriend, 31-year-old Donald Jones, of Bloomington, who was wanted on a warrant for a parole violation.

Troopers witnessed McLane arrive at the home and detained her without incident. While troopers were obtaining a search warrant for the home, they requested Trooper Allen Deel and his K-9 partner Drogos come to the home to assist with the search.

A shortly later, Jones voluntarily surrendered to troopers. Jones told troopers he had not planned on coming out of the house until he heard the police dog barking.

Both McLane and Jones, who was also wanted on a warrant, were taken to the Monroe County Jail.

"K9 Drogos had a direct impact on the outcome of this intense situation. Had it not been for K9 Drogos, ISP Troopers would have had to enter the residence themselves at some point. The mere presence of K9 Drogos potentially saved multiple lives," says Trooper Richard Klun.
