(LOOGOOTEE) - A state biologist says she’s spotted a bird in Loogootee that’s usually found thousands of miles away in South America.
Fork-tailed flycatchers are normally found in Venezuela this time of year.
Amy Kearns with the Department of Natural Resources theorizes that the one she saw in Daviess County Tuesday might have been thrown off by storms while migrating.
