Last updated on Tuesday, July 7, 2015

(BEDFORD) - A Paoli woman was arrested Thursday after she attempted to sell both meth and heroin to an undercover police officer.

According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley, officers from the Lawrence County Drug Task Force called 28-year-old Lacy Sneed of Paoli to meet so they could purchase the drugs.

"Ms. Sneed told the officers she had both meth and heroin for sale," Parsley says. "The officers told her they were interested in buying heroin."

Officers set up a time and place to meet, but when Sneed showed up, she recognized some of the officers and attempted to flee.

"The officers caught her and that is when she began to struggle with the officer and had to be physically restrained."

Once she was in handcuffs, officers did not find any drugs in her possession.

Sneed was arrested on charges of conspiracy to deal heroin, conspiracy to deal more than 1 gram of heroin, conspiracy to deal more than 5 grams of heroin, resisting arrest by fleeing and force.

She posted a cash bond of $5,005 on Monday.
