(UNDATED) - A 15-year-old Deputy girl has been returned home safely after she went missing from Crothersville.

Trimble County Sheriff's Department located the girl in the parking lot of a Walmart in Carrollton, Kentucky, around 2 p.m. Tuesday.

Crothersville Police Chief Richard Hanlin says the teen was found in a vehicle with Robert Logan Price, believed to be 25 to 30, from Michigan.

At first the teen lied to police making up a name, and fake birth date. She finally told police who she was and admitted she had met Prince at the Crothersville Red, White and Blue Festival last month and had kept in contact with him through emails, text messages and phone calls and through social media.

Hanlin says the teen had spent the night with her great-great-grandmother in Crothersville but had packed a backpack with plans to meet Price and leave with him.

The girl's mother reported her missing the next morning. Police believe she left around 4 a.m. Monday.

The teen told police the two had spent Monday night in a car under a bridge in Kentucky.

After learning the teen had possibly left with Price. Police began looking for the teen in Midland County, Michigan, where Price lives, but also began looking at locations in southern Indiana and Kentucky where Price's family members live.

Police contacted Price's mother, who called her son telling him to turn the girl over to police. Price refused, saying the teen did not want to return home.

Officers then found the two in the Walmart parking lot.

Price has not been arrested, but he could be facing both local, Kentucky and federal charges.

Assisting with the search and investigation were the Midland County (Michigan) Sheriff's Department, Trimble County (Kentucky) Sheriff's Department, FBI, Indiana State Police, Jackson County Sheriff's Department and Carroll County (Kentucky) Sheriff's Department.
