Lawrence County 4-H Fair Kicks Off This Weekend

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County 4-H Fair kicks off this weekend.

The 4-H Fair Queen Pageant will begin at 7 p.m. Friday at the fairground. Young woman will compete in an interview process, professional wear and formal wear.

The 2014 queen Allison Trevithick will crown the new queen.

Gate fees begin at 4 p.m., a weekly pass is $15, day pass is $5.

Fair Schedule Of Events:

Saturday, July 18:

  • 4 p.m. 4-H dog obedience
  • 6 p.m. 4-H Horse and Pony contest
  • 7 p.m. Lip Sync competition
  • 4 p.m. Antique Tractor Show/Tractor Pull - $8 adults, $5 ages 7-12, 6 and under free

Sunday, July 19:

  • 8 a.m. Church service
  • 9 a.m. Horse and Pony mini & halter classes
  • 1 p.m. 4-H dog agility
  • 5 p.m. 4-H Rabbit show
  • 5 p.m. Expo Hall and family arts open
  • 6 p.m. Horse & Pony versatility classes
  • 7 p.m. Kiddie & Adult Tractor pull
  • 7 p.m. Exhibit Hall Awards Ceremony in Park Tent
  • 7 p.m. Broken Horn Rodeo - Adults $10, Kids 12 and under $5

Monday, July 20:

  • 8 a.m. 4-H Horse and Pony Western pleasure
  • 9 a.m. 4-H Market Beef Show
  • Noon Mini Dairy & Dairy Steers
  • 4 p.m. Boer Goats
  • 5 p.m. Expo Hall opens
  • 5 p.m. Family arts open
  • 6 p.m. Midway opens (regular tickets)
  • 6 p.m. Baby Contest park tent (0-4)
  • 7 p.m. Go Karts $8 Adults, $5 ages 7-12, 6 and under free

Tuesday, July 21: Kids Day

  • 9 a.m. Horse & Pony English
  • 10 a.m. Games & Bicycle Rodeo
  • 11 a.m. Laser Tag
  • Noon Dairy Heifers
  • 1 p.m., 6 p.m., 7:30 p.m. Silly Safari (tent)
  • 2 p.m. till 5 p.m. Midway open, $10.00 bands 12 & under
  • 3 p.m. Pet parade show arena
  • 4 p.m. 4-H Sheep show
  • 5 p.m. Expo Hall and family arts open
  • 6 p.m. Midway open
  • 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Silly Safari (tent)
  • 7 p.m. Quad Races, track

Wednesday, July 22:

  • 9 a.m. 4-H Poultry Show
  • 4 p.m. 4-H Beef Show
  • 5 p.m. Expo & Family arts open
  • 6 p.m. Midway opens (Buddy Night 2 for $20)
  • 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Southern Witness Band (tent)
  • 7 p.m. Flat Track Cycles $8 adults, $5 ages 7-12, 6 and under free

Thursday, July 23 Family Night

  • 9 a.m. Dairy & Pygmy Goat Show
  • 4 p.m. Swine Show
  • 5 p.m. Expo & Family arts open
  • 6 p.m. Midway opens, Family Night, armbands $15
  • 7 p.m. Southern In Gospel Music (tent)
  • 7 p.m. ATV & UTV Mud Bogs $8 adult, $5 ages 7-12, 6 and under free

Friday, July 24

  • 9 a.m. 4-H Cat Show
  • 4 p.m. Round Robin
  • 5 p.m. Expo Hall and Family arts open
  • 6 p.m. Midway opens
  • 7 p.m. Mud Bogs, $8 adults, $5 ages 7-12, 6 and under free
  • 9 p.m. 50 Caliber performs

Saturday, July 25, Carload Night $25 up to six people

  • 9 a.m. till 2 p.m. Robotics Demonstration and contest
  • 2 p.m. 4-H Livestock Auction
  • 3 p.m. Expo Hall Opens
  • 6 p.m. Demolition Derby
  • 7 p.m. Building Nations (Christian Rock Band)
  • 9:30 p.m. The Lasting Hope (tent)
  • 11 p.m. All non auction animals released
