Brownstown Man Sentenced To 20 Years In Prison For Child Molesting

Last updated on Monday, July 6, 2015

(BROWNSTOWN) - A Brownstown man who admitted to molesting at least two girls at different times since 2007 will spend up to 20 years in prison.

32-year-old Charles Wesley Salsman received that sentence as a part of a plea agreement approved by Jackson Circuit Judge Richard W. Poynter.

Salsman agreed to plead guilty to two Class B felony counts of child molesting in exchange for the judge dismissing two additional counts of child molesting, one a Class A felony and the second a Class C felony, and two Class D felony counts of intimidation.

The judge sentenced Salsman to a 12-year prison term on each count, with two of those years to be served on supervised probation. The sentences are to be served consecutively.
