(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors announced that Blaine Parker has been selected as the Interim President for the Bedford Chamber.
Blaine was the Membership and Communications Director and is excited to continue the momentum of the Bedford Chamber as Acting President.
Blaine is a lifelong resident of Lawrence County with her husband and two children.
She sent out a letter to chamber members. It reads:
Dear Chamber Member:
I hope this letter finds you and your business doing well! It has been a busy summer at the Chamber and I wanted to catch you up to speed.
First of all, as many of you already know, our former President Jamie Medlock has moved to Norfolk, VA with her family. Her husband accepted a position with NCIS and we wish them the very best! The Chamber Board of Directors has announced that I will be serving as the Interim President. I previously served as the Membership and Communications Director and am very excited to continue the momentum of the Bedford Chamber as Acting President.
Many of you may have also heard discussion about a possible merger with the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council. The Board of Directors is currently assessing these options and I am confident that they will make the very best decision for the Chamber and its Members.
My goal is to continue to provide support to our Members. We have not lost sight of the fact that the Chamber is a Member-driven organization and you are the most important resource. If you have any questions or concerns about your Membership or would like to better understand what the Chamber can do for you or your business, I would love to meet with you to discuss the Chamber's mission.
