(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Police Department is investigating an allegedly rape.
According to Bedford Police Chief Dennis Parsley officers were notified about the alleged rape Monday at 6:13 a.m. after a woman reported she had been raped in the 1600 block of M Street.
"This is an active investigation," Parsley says. "Officers have spoken to both the woman and the alleged suspect. At this time no other details about the incident are being released."
