(FREEDOM) - A 12-year-old boy died after his dirt bike collided with a pickup truck on Freedom Arney Road in Freedom, southwest of Spencer.
Justice D. Halderman of Spencer died Sunday evening at IU Bloomington Hospital.
According to an Owen County Sheriff's Department report, Harlderman had left his yard driving a Yamaha 80 dirt bike and was entering Freedom Arney Road when he pulled into the path of a 1995 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 23-year-old Caleb Bailey.
Police say Bailey was unable to avoid the collision.
Justice is the son of Steven and Samantha Halderman of Spencer.

Assisting at the accident scene were members of the Owen County EMS, Owen County Rescue and Freedom Fire Department.
