Washington Man Arrested Again On Sexual Misconduct With A Minor

Last updated on Monday, June 8, 2015

(WASHINGTON) - A Washington man awaiting trial for two counts of child molesting from charges filed in the spring of 2013 was arrested again late last week on new charges of sexual misconduct with a minor.

22-year-old Robert L. Bustos was arrested May 29 by the Washington City Police Department on the newest charges and is being held in the Daviess County Security Center.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Bustos admitted he had sexual relations with a 15-year-old female between March 1 and March 31, 2015. The girl told police that she had sex with Robert Bustos and he was 22.

A pre-trial hearing for the case has been set for August 4.

In April 2013, when Bustos was 20 years old, he was accused of having sexual relations with a then 12-year-old female on two separate occasions in August 2012.

Bustos, who was studying law enforcement at Vincennes University at the time, admitted to having relations with the female. His trial date on that incident is scheduled on July 9.
