Two People Injured After Rear-End Collision

(OOLITIC) - Two people were injured after a rear-end collision Saturday at 12:29 p.m. at the stoplight at Ind. 37 and Patton Hill Road.

According to a Lawrence County Police report, Robin Saunders, 51, of Springville, was stopped at the stop light on Ind. 37 in the southbound lane when his 2014 Chevrolet Spark was struck from behind by a 2002 Mazda Tribute driven by 33-year-old Misty Pafford, of 615 17th St.

Pafford told police she was looking down at her cell phone when the accident happened.

Pafford suffered an abrasion to her knee and lower leg. Her passenger 5-year-old Logan Pafford suffered an abrasion to his head.
