(BEDFORD) - The deadline to enter the 3rd Annual Craig Bowden Celebrity Golf Tournament is Tuesday, June 16 or until the lineup is full.

"There are spots available for 4 more teams for the celebrity tournament," says organizer Jim Sowders.

The tournament benefits the Boys and Girls Club of Lawrence County.

The celebrity tournament starts at 1 p.m. Cost to enter is $750 per team.

"Current celebrities that are committed include former IU greats Ted Kitchel, Scott May, Quinn Buckner, and Calbert Cheaney," Sowder wrote in an email. "Also committed are radio personalities Don Fischer and JMV. Former St Louis Cardinal Scott Rolen returns to play again along with TV star Grant Show. Butler coach Kurt Godvleski is returning to town to play also, among others."

This year, Hall of Fame long-drive hitter Pat Dempsey, who has claimed the World Championship four times, will be putting on an exhibition before the tournament, and will also play in the tournament.

New this year, the Boys and Girls Club will have their annual 4-person scramble prior to the Celebrity Golf tournament.

The scramble starts at 8 am and includes lunch with the celebrity teams at noon. Cost is $200 per team.

Hole sponsorships are available for $200 for both events.
