Dog Dayz Of Summer At Patoka Lake On Saturday

(PATOKA) - Spend the day with your canine companion on Saturday from 10 a.m. till 2 p.m. at the Patoka Lake Nature Center.

Bring your 4-legged friend and join the staff for a day of exciting events such as Hike with your Hound, dog training sessions hosted by a Master Certified dog trainer Mike Morris, a K9 Unit Demonstration by a local Conservation Officer and his partner, a Tasty Treats program where you can learn how to make your own dog treats, and a Pet Parade/Costume Contest and Talent Show with prizes.

To beat the summer heat, let your pet romp around in the Cool Canines Splash Park.

Glamfur pictures with your pet will be taking place between events.

U Lucky Dog Grooming will be onsite providing free toenail trimmings for your dogs.

Hillview Christian Church will be providing food and drinks during the entire event for a nominal fee.

All pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet.

This event is free to the public but donations will be greatly appreciated.

Schedule of Events:

The entrance fee of $7 per vehicle for Indiana residents ($9 out of state) is required for the Newton Stewart State Recreation area, Patoka Reservoir, located north of Wickliffe,Indiana, Highway 164.
