(BLOOMINGTON) - Road and overpass construction on Vernal Pike in Bloomington begins on June 29th.
The I-69 Development Partners Team announces the closure of Vernal Pike to construct roadway and overpass improvements.
Vernal Pike, west of State Road 37, will be closed from Woodyard Road to Industrial Drive. Traffic will be detoured via Curry Pike, S.R. 46 and S.R. 37 during construction and open to local traffic only. The existing traffic signal at S.R. 37 with access to Industrial Drive will remain open until the new Vernal Pike roadway and overpass are completed and open to traffic. Access to Packing House Road will be via Vernal Pike to the west during Phase 1 construction and via S.R. 37 and Industrial Drive during Phase 2 construction.
The closure of Vernal Pike will begin on or after June 29 and will remain closed through late 2015 or early 2016.
