Three Arrested In Seymour Murder

Last updated on Monday, May 4, 2015

(SEYMOUR) - In less than 36 hours, the three suspects linked to the Thursday morning robbery and murder of a Seymour man have been arrested.

Seymour Police Chief Bill Abbott says investigators now believe 32-year-old Daniel L. Combs of North Vernon shot and killed 42-year-old Gilbert Engle of Seymour early Thursday morning during an incident at Engle's second-floor apartment in the 200 block of North Chestnut Street.

21-year-old Jessica Jarrell of North Vernon was with Combs when the shooting occurred and helped steal drugs and cash from the apartment before the two left the area in a stolen PT Cruiser.

25-year-old Andrea Hollin of North Vernon was arrested Thursday evening and faces a charge of armed robbery for her involvement.

Police say Thursday around 5:45 a.m. Engle's body was found by his roommate and police began a manhunt for those involved in the crime.
