(MEDORA) - Three people suffered serious injuries in a two-vehicle crash Sunday on U.S. 50 East, west of Medora, Sunday afternoon.

26-year-old Marshall Fletcher, of Bedford was flown to an Indianapolis Hospital.

27-year-old Bailey Nicole Wayman, of Norman, was flown to a hospital in Louisville, KY.

Wayman was a passenger in a 2013 Ford Fusion driven by her mother, 51-year-old Teresa Wayman, who suffered a broken left ankle and was treated at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour and released Sunday night.

According to a Jackson County Sheriff's report, Teresa Wayman was traveling east near Medora Knobs when Fletcher, who was traveling west on U.S. 50, lost control of his 2010 Chevrolet S-10 and crossed the center line.

The wreck cut Marshall's pickup in half, and part of the truck flipped, leaving U.S. 50 closed for almost 2 1/2 hours.

Fletcher was treated at the scene by a Jackson County ambulance crew and then taken to the Jackson County Sheriff's Department in Brownstown, where he was picked up by a medical helicopter and flown to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Both Waymans were taken to Schneck Medical Center. Bailey was then flown by helicopter to Louisville for treatment.

Working the accident scene were officers with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department, Brownstown Police Department and Carr Township Volunteer Fire Department first responders.
