Movies In The Park, Pool Passes On Sale, Dog Obedience Classes

(BEDFORD) - The Bedford Parks Department presents “Movies In The Park.”

Recreation Director Gary Dorsett says the first movie - The Perfect Game - will be shown June 19 at Murray Forest Park.

The price to attend - Free.

The Perfect Game is a 2009 American drama film directed by William Dear, based on the 2008 book of the same name written by W. William Winokur. The film is based on the events leading to the 1957 Little League World Series, which was won by the first team from outside the United States, the Industrial Little League of Monterrey, Mexico, who defeated the heavily favored U.S. team. Mexican pitcher Angel Macias threw the first, and so far only, perfect game in championship game history.

Pool Passes

They are also selling pool passes for the summer season. Adult passes cost $40 and children (17 and under) passes cost $25.

Dog Obedience

Mike Johnson will be offering a dog obedience class starting on May 29th. This is a 3-week class on Friday and Saturdays from 5-6pm at the Wilson Park Circle.

The cost is $65 and you must pre-register at the parks office.
