(FAYETTEVILLE) - A Springville man was injured after two deer ran into the roadway on Ind. 158 West near Lavender Lane Wednesday night.

According to a Lawrence County police report, 35-year-old Corey Keith was traveling west on Ind. 158 when he topped a hill and saw two deer in the roadway. Keith hit the brakes suddenly on his 2010 Harley Davidson, which caused the motorcycle to slide on its side. Keith was thrown from the bike as it continued to slide down the roadway and stopped on the north side of the road.

Keith suffered cuts and scrapes to his lower left arm and elbow and cuts to his left knee.
