Man Dies From Gunshot Wound

(HAMBLEN TWP.) - A man is dead after what appears to be an accidental shooting on Bean Blossom Road Saturday night.

According to Brown County Sheriff Scott Southerland, 31-year-old Christopher Lucas was pronounced dead at 8:32 p.m. at Columbus Regional Hospital.

According to a press release, a woman in the 5100 block of Bean Blossom Road placed a 911 call at 7:10 p.m. to report she had found a man at his home not breathing.

Hamblen Volunteer Fire Department first responders and a Columbus Regional Hospital ambulance responded.

Police say that Lucas had suffered a gunshot wound to his lower torso.

The results of an autopsy report are pending and the incident is still under investigation.
