Last updated on Friday, May 15, 2015

(BLOOMINGTON) - Indiana University has fired 32-year-old Jon Riveire of Bloomington after he was arrested on Tuesday on felony charges of child pornography.

Associate Vice President, Public Affairs and Government Relations, IU Communications Mark Land says Riveire was fired Wednesday.

Police say Riveire, an Assistant Director for Student Conduct in the Office of Student Ethics at Indiana University, was arrested after Bloomington Police received a tip through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that an image that may be considered child pornography had been uploaded to a Gmail account.

Police say they've found more than 30 images of child pornography on the man's university-owned laptop in his office in the 800 block of North Jordan Street.
