(LINTON) - One in ten Indiana college students finish a two-year degree on time. Three in ten finish a four-year degree on time. Many of the students who don't reach the finish line on time have academic, social or financial challenges that may have been avoided with more preparation

That is why the Indiana Youth Institute (IYI) is hosting a seminar to help educators, counselors, youth ministers, youth workers and parents learn to inspire youth of all ages to dream of a bright future beyond high school graduation.

This forum will feature Tracy Butler of Tracy Butler Consulting, LLC. She will show attendees how they can leverage their influential relationships with youth to help them achieve long-term success. The conversation will guide participants on how to help young people identify the career path that is right for them and prepare them to be successful on that path. Readiness programming to help prepare youth academically, socially and financially to achieve greater long-term results will be discussed.

The forum will run from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 13 at Monical's Pizza in the Linton Shopping Center, 1600 A St. NE, Linton, 47441.

As part of IYI's Youth Worker Cafe program, the seminar and meal are free, but reservations are required. RSVP at www.iyi.org/YWC. If you have trouble with the link, please contact IYI Statewide Outreach Manager Debbie Jones at djones@iyi.org.

Youth Worker Cafes are designed to bring together local youth workers to build relationships and inspire collaborations that will benefit children. This Youth Worker Cafe is made possible by the collaborative efforts of Greene Education Services and IYI.

These events are sponsored by the Indiana Commission for Higher Education.

For more information on the Youth Worker Cafe, contact IYI South West Indiana Outreach Manager Joe Shrode at jshrode@iyi.org.
