(BLOOMINGTON) - Four people were injured after a car collided with a bicycle at the intersection of Fourth and Walnut streets in Bloomington Tuesday night.
According to a Bloomington police officer, around 7:45 p.m. a driver in a black Nissan Maxima which was traveling north on Walnut Street collided with a man on a bicycle who was riding west on Fourth Street.
The car then continued through the intersection, onto a sidewalk, collided with a pole and struck the east side of Ivy Tech Waldron Arts Center.
The car's driver, a woman, and her two passengers, a man and a woman, along with the cyclist were all taken to a local hospital for treatment. All were conscious and alert at the scene. Police say the cyclist was not wearing a helmet.
The names of those involved in the accident have not been released and the accident remains under investigation.
