Five Arrested After Police Find Meth Operation

(BEDFORD) - The Lawrence County Drug Task Force arrested 5 people after they performed controlled drug buys and secured search warrants early this morning.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham, task force officers were able to perform two controlled buys and witnessed another hand-to-hand buy at 939 Peerless Road over the last few days.

Officers secured a search warrant for the home inside the home they found Pace, Correll, Davis and Tandi Gates and Michael Gates.

"The informant purchased more than 14 grams of crystal meth," Branham says. "Investigators located another 1.99 grams of meth and marked 'buy' money in the pant pockets of Daniel Pace at the time the search warrant was executed. In addition, investigators found a loaded syringe, ledgers of their meth business, drug paraphernalia, a bottle of MSM which is a known cutting agent for meth."

Police also found that Tandi Gates and Tylan Davis had syringes.
