Bloomfield Residents Reminded To Register Golf Carts

Last updated on Friday, May 8, 2015

(BLOOMFIELD) - Bloomfield Town Marshal Kenneth Tharp would like to remind the residents of Bloomfield that a new ordinance has become effective regarding golf carts.

The Greene County Daily World reports that, as of April 1, the Bloomfield Town Council passed a town ordinance stating that all golf carts driven in town are to be registered.

Tharp says the Bloomfield Police Department has been lenient the past 30 days, giving citizens time to get registered, but the ordinance will now be enforced.

Those operating unregistered golf carts will be ticketed and fined.
