(MITCHELL) - Two Mitchell men were arrested after Lawrence County Police stopped the vehicle they were in just after midnight on Sunday.
The vehicle was stopped on State Road 37 near Hancock Avenue in Mitchell.
A canine alerted the officer to possible drugs in the vehicle.
"A search of the vehicle revealed a white powdery substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine," says Sheriff Mike Branham.
Police arrested the driver 27-year-old Justin Noad and his passenger 25-year-old Kenneth Edmonson on charges of possession of meth. Noad is also facing a charge of operating a vehicle while never licensed.
