Two Jackson County Bridges To Be Repaired

Last updated on Friday, April 10, 2015

(JACKSON CO.) - The Indiana Department of Transportation met with its contractor this week at its Seymour District offices to schedule maintenance and repairs for a number of area bridges, two of which are in Jackson County.

OLCO of Batesville will replace expansion joints and repair bridge decks at U.S. Highway 50 in Brownstown at Smallwood Ditch.

Next, the company will tackle the bridge at State Road 135, just south of Freetown, at Kiper Creek.

INDOT Spokesman Harry Maginity says that work will begin after June 1 and is scheduled to be completed by July 31. Traffic will be directed by flaggers during repair operations.
