State Police Arrest Two After Finding Marijuana

(BLOOMINGTON) - While on patrol Friday evening, an Indiana State Trooper witnessed a 1999 black Camaro speeding and operating without a license plate light on the State Road 45/46 Bypass heading east toward Bloomington.

During the traffic stop, Trooper Riley Nungester detected a distinct, strong odor of raw marijuana coming from within the vehicle.

He found revealed bags of marijuana in the vehicle. Both occupants were arrested after police found both with large sums of cash in their pockets.

Police recovered more than 562 grams of marijuana.

Police arrested 20-year-old Kavon R. Massenburg and 21-year-old Willie H. Riggs, both of Indianapolis, on felony charges of dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana, maintaining a common nuisance.

Trooper Mike Tummers along with the Indiana Excise Police assisted with the investigation.
