(WASHINGTON) - Charges of child molesting were dismissed by the state against 19-year-old Jalen Elthzroth of Washington.

Elthzroth was arrested in January after a then 12-year-old girl told police Elthzroth had forced her to have intercourse with her after a New Year's party for 2013. The girl says the incident happened at Eltzroth's mother's home. The girl told police that Eltzroth, who had been drinking vodka, was "looking at her weird."

The two then went into Eltzroth's bedroom where he propositioned her. That is when the girl alleges that she tried to leave and Eltzroth blocked the door and locked it and then forced her to have sex.

After the alleged incident, Eltzroth told the girl not to tell anyone. The girl said she didn't because she didn't because she didn't want to be called names and didn't want her mother to think it was her fault.

The girl then took a shower and went home.

But Eltzroth then sent her a text message saying he was sorry and that he missed her.

It took the girl a month to tell a school counselor about the attack.

When police talked to Eltzroth, he denied knowing the girl. He then asked police if he was a witness or suspect. When police told him he was a suspect he requested an attorney.

After his arrest the state dismissed the charges against Elthzroth without prejudice.

Due to a proper investigation after the arrest, all accusations were found to be false allegations because he never met the girl.
