(SPRINGVILLE) - Lawrence County Police are looking for the person or persons that vandalized the Springville Community Center.

On Monday, police received a call just before 10 a.m. reporting someone had entered the old Springville School gym and damaged it.

"When officers arrived they found damage to two doors and a white powder substance everywhere," Sheriff Mike Branham says. "The substance was from fire extinguishers being sprayed all over the inside of the building."

Branham says that there are currently no suspects in the investigation.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Lawrence County Sheriff's Department at (812) 275-3316.
