(MITCHELL) - A Mitchell man was arrested Monday afternoon after he allegedly was involved in a road rage incident.

According to Lawrence County Sheriff Mike Branham, dispatch received a 911 call transferred from Orange County reporting a road rage incident on State Road 60 East.

Two Lawrence County detectives were in the Campbellsburg area on an unrelated investigation and responded to that part of the county.

Detectives spotted the black 1997 Ford pickup that the caller was in but the suspect's vehicle a camouflage 1994 Chevrolet pickup had fled the scene.

34-year-old Jeremy Tolliver of Mitchell, who was driving the camouflage truck, was later found in Orleans. Tolliver admitted to hitting the victim's truck multiple times with his truck because he was angry.

Tolliver claims the other driver had come to his house to pick up Tolliver's girlfriend and left with her.

According to the victim and witnesses, Tolliver allegedly rammed the victim's truck and then passed the truck, slammed on the brakes and backed into the victim's truck.

Tolliver was arrested on charges of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.
